Yes! You have a number of different options. You can use our template, at no cost, and change the logo, colour, text and pictures. Or for $2,500 you can bring your own designer and completely rebrand the look and feel of the site using CSS. Finally, we can take care of the rebrand for you at a cost of $10,000, which means we handle the branding operation from end to end. -
How does the site collect money?
All transactions take place securely between your bank account, your payment gateway and your clients. At no time does our software ever touch your money. All we do is ensure the site is secure and that transactions can be placed safely and easily. We accept credit cards and Paypal payment (when using Paypal Payments Pro) as your payment gateway. -
How do I know who has paid versus who has not?
The administrative dashboard shows in considerable detail who has paid and who hasn’t paid, either because their credit card has expired (recurring purchases only) or a gift they are receiving has expired. You have full control at segmenting your data at all times to allow you to prepare for your next shipment. -
Does Blackboxx tell me if credit cards are about to expire?
Yes, Blackboxx gives you full details on currently expired cards including name, email address, phone number and what subscription they are currently signed up to. It also provides information on cards which will be expiring over the next few months. -
How do my customers update their information (addresses, phone numbers, credit cards)?
The Blackboxx portal allows users self-serve options to update all of their information. The administrator can also update customer information on their behalf as well, if desired. -
Can I import the information to my accounting software?
Yes! All of the information which is created by Blackboxx is exportable in CSV format which can be used by any major accounting software package. Please ask us if you have any concerns regarding the implementation of this and we’d be pleased to help. -
Can I import the information to my point of sale software?
Yes! All of the information which is created by Blackboxx is exportable in CSV format which can be used by any major point of sale service. You can update this information as much as you want (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly). While we don’t suggest a “real time” updating system with your POS, please contact us for more information on real-time POS integration. -
How can I leverage my wine club for email marketing purposes?
You can target and segment all forms of users, whether based on packages, how long they were a member, the type of product they received or a host of other options. Then email marketing can be customized through our integration with MailChimp to allow for extremely fine-tuned control of your distribution lists. Unlike other systems, all of the data for this segmentation comes from Blackboxx so you never have to worry about using out of date or incorrect information. -
How can I integrate my wine club with social networking?
While some designers and marketing firms would suggest you just add a Twitter or Facebook link to your product in the hopes of creating social networking, Blackboxx takes the concept one step further by creating an active niche social network for your brand. Engage with your customers, find out what they think about the product you are sending, share food pairing suggestions or create social contests all through your own site. Engage with Twitter or Facebook to drive unique traffic to your site, but don’t give away all that data for free. What happens if a customer doesn’t want to transact over the internet?
In this day of ecommerce transactions we understand that there still may be people who prefer to give their order over the phone. Blackboxx allows for administrative over-ride so that your staff can take the customer order in person (via a workstation or tablet) or over the phone. All of your purchase data will reside in the same place. -
How can I implement this in my tasting room or store?
Use an iPad or tablet! Some Blackboxx customers are already taking orders directly from their store and tasting rooms via the mobile website. By showing new clients your site in your tasting room or store you are enforcing your bricks and mortar brand with your online brand which has been proven to increase retention and repeat visits. How can I export my data?
All Blackboxx data is 100% exportable in CSV format so at all times you can access all elements of your data. -
Can I edit the copy on the site?
Absolutely. We encourage every Blackboxx customer to edit the content on the site to be consistent with your other branding efforts. Content can be edited going forward in the administrative panel, easily, securely and with no need for any technical staff. This includes all information for packages, content in your emails and all of the information on the homepage. -
Can wine club members add more bottles to their recurring package order?
Wine club members can add additional bottles to their existing order through Blackboxx’s ecommerce functionality. Wine club members also have access to the VIP “members only” ecommerce store where unique, hard to secure or limited production wines can be distributed to your best customers. -
Can I also sell wine club members tickets to my events?
You could use the Blackboxx platform to sell individual event tickets as unique items in the ecommerce store. However, Blackboxx was not custom made for this application. We can recommend 3rd party solutions for ticket sales if necessary. -
Can I accept foreign wine club memberships and ship outside the country?
As long as you are complying with the applicable regulations around shipping wine both in the country of origin and country of destination then yes, Blackboxx can accept foreign wine club memberships. -
Can I make a public ecommerce store?
Yes, with Blackboxx you can have a public ecommerce store for traditional ecommerce transactions. You can have three difference ecommerce options 1) public ad-hoc ecommerce, 2) recurring wine club subscriptions, 3) members only targeted ecommerce. -

If I ship twice per year how is the quarterly per transaction rate determined?
The quarterly per transaction rate is determined by the average number of transactions you undertake in a given quarter, regardless if you ship annually, monthly or more frequently than that. For a company that ships twice a year, your total expected shipment for that year would be divided by 4 to give a quarterly rate.Example - 1000 transactions per year = 250 transactions per quarter = $3.49 per transaction rate

What is the minimum monthly charge?
All accounts have a minimum $250 monthly charge applied. If your transactions charges exceed $250 per month ($750/quarter) the minimum fee does not apply and you will be charged only for your transactions.The minimum transaction amount ensures that our costs are covered in providing unlimited support, unlimited emails as well as all security (PCI compliance), hosting and bandwidth.
